Our Story
Built on Service.
Regulator Woodworking was founded on the values that define military service: discipline, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Our Mission
"To craft premium wooden pieces that serve our clients, support our veterans, and strengthen our community."
The Team
Meet the Makers
Rodney Simmons
Founder & Lead Craftsman
A retired military officer, Rodney brings the discipline, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence from his distinguished military career into every piece he builds.
His hands-on approach means every joint, every finish, and every detail is held to the same exacting standard he applied in service to his country.
Melanie Simmons
Designer, Craftsman & Operations Lead
With over 25 years of corporate leadership experience, Melanie oversees design development, operations, marketing, and client experience at Regulator Woodworking. But she's far more than behind-the-scenes — Melanie is also a hands-on craftsman, creating custom serving trays, charcuterie boards, and river tables in the workshop.
She brings the same precision and care to every piece she builds as she does to every client interaction — from the first consultation to final delivery.
What Drives Us
Our Values
Veteran Support
We actively partner with and hire fellow veterans. Our business is built on the foundation of service — and we carry that forward in everything we do.
Sustainability
We source locally and waste nothing. Wood shavings and sawdust are captured to make pressed particle boards and burnable wood pellets. Every scrap has purpose.
Community
We believe in building more than furniture. We invest in our community through veteran partnerships and local sourcing that strengthens the businesses around us.
Let's Build Something Together
Whether it's a custom river table or a personalized laser-engraved gift — we'd love to be part of your story.
